Forgiveness...

Jesus forgave those who beat him and placed him on the cross. In fact, Jesus went to the cross FOR those people. Jesus also forgives you and I our wrong doing. Jesus forgives us when we put stuff before him. Jesus forgives us when we have hurt others. Jesus forgives those who have hurt us.

God is not out to get you, but to provide you a new way of living, and a new people to live in a new way.

In case you have never been told this before, God is on your side, and the side of the other guy too. Are you?

We are meeting on Sunday's at Conversations Cafe, a new european styled eatery in Beamsville on the Corner of Main and Ontario Streets. 

Open House is a part of the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada, and strive to bring a little bit of the Good News of the Kingdom of God to this community, one household at a time. God desires to make Himself known to every home within this town, and to positively impact them with His presence. Yet...

God's Kingdom needs to be lived out by those that follow him. Open House Church consists of people dedicated to living our lives openly within this community and offering others the opportunity to be a part of the Kingdom of God too. As like all people, we don't do this perfectly, but we are striving to live these values.

Hello and welcome to Open House, a community of Jesus followers in Beamsville, Ontario. If you are curious about being CHURCH rather than going to church,  or have never experienced church before before I would gladly extend invitation to you to join us at some time.

This October we had begun to meet at Conversations Cafe on the corner of Main Street and Ontario Street, by Main Street Entrance.

We meet for worship together at "11:00ish" on Sunday mornings. Our worship services are simple and laid back, featuring prayer, music, weekly Lord's Supper, Scripture from both the Old and New Testament's and a short message explaining the practical implications of following Jesus. Questions and interaction are expected and encouraged.

We also meet informally through the week for prayer, service, some meals or other special opportunities.

We also meet for 2 other purposes. To serve others within our community and to have a good time getting to know new people. We serve others by participating however we can at community events and when we become aware of community needs. We get to know new people by being good hosts. Have a party.
